In Inuit mythology the word Akhlut is a supernatural white wolf that can shape shift and transform into an orca when it enters the ocean.
While in the wolf form it is known by the above name, and the Inuit say they know that this change takes place as they have seen wolf tracks leading to the edge of the sea ice and ending at the water, or beginning at the edge of the water and leading to the shore. The Inuit are excellent trackers and can read prints well so this lead them to believe its true as its otherwise unexplainable.
I took this shots on an extremely stormy day with wind well over 100km an hour and sideways rain, it really was a supernatural experience and one I will never forget.
